Stoke-On-Trent Mayor To Visit Sialkot Fairtrade Football Stitching Factories

 

 Fair Trade In Football Campaign Founder, Sharron Hardwick,  met the Lord Mayor Of Stoke-On-Trent at the Kick's World Cup Finals in June 2014.

 

Lord Mayor Councillor Khan was keen to hear about Fairtrade football production. Hearing that most balls are stiched in Sialkot, Pakistan the Lord Mayor said:

 

"I will be visiting Sialkot in September; is there anything that I can do to help the Fair Trade In Football Campaign?"

 

Sharron was, of course, delighted! 

 

Since then Alan Christian, Prince's Charities, and Sharron have been helping to set up a meeting between the Lord Mayor and the Sialkot stitchers.  

 

Angus Coull, Bala Sports has been in contact with the producers of their Bala Fairtrade Footballs. They are keen to welcome the Lord Mayor.

 

In preparation Sharron Hardwick has produced a

double sided fact sheet for the Lord Mayor and the Fairtrade Factory owners and stitchers.
