SCFC Community Trust,
Kicks 2015 Fairtrade Plans
Kicks Participation Manager, Ben Gibson, with Fair Trade Action Stoke On Trent's Ann Worthington, and Prince's Regeneration Trust Alan Christian are in talks with Fair Trade In Football Campaign Founder, Sharron Hardwick, with some exciting Fairtrade plans for February 2015.
Kicks plan to organise an under 16s tournament, with 15 teams, durng February Half Term.
This will be a tournament which organisers hope will bring the local community together through football. But it's more than this....
All those involved are looking to support the Sialkot stitching community too, as they use only Fairtrade Stiched Footballs for the event.
Still in the early planning stages, organisers are also looking to source Fairtrade Cotton T-shirts for the teams, and will be providing Fairtrade refreshments on the day too.
It is hoped that a FIRST TEAM Stoke City player will attend the event, with a possible presentation ceremony taking place at the Lord Mayor's Civic Reception on Wednesday 25th February.
Both of these events will be looking to support Fairtrade and promote football in the Stoke-On-Trent, in an aim to build links with the young people from various communities.
Exciting plans ahead....we will Keep you posted!
