Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
The Fairtrade Foundation's vision is of a world in which justice and sustainable development are at the heart of trade structures and practices so that everyone, through their work, can maintain a decent and dignified livelihood and develop their full potential.
The Scottish Fair Trade Forum was established in January 2007 by a group of Fair Trade campaigners, Scotland-based non-governmental organisations and the Scottish Government, to promote the cause of Fair Trade in Scotland and, in particular, help secure Fair Trade Nation status for Scotland.

Engage Communities is a not for profit organisation registered as a Community Interest Company (registration no. 07382290). We are committed to empowering and developing socially excluded and disadvantaged members of communities. Engage Communities provides a specialist Black, Asian & minority ethnic (BAME) service. We work with marginalised and disadvantaged people in order to address some of the most problematic and stigmatised issues facing policy makers, practitioners and communities themselves.
Engage works in partnership with voluntary and statutory services, signposting clients and providing employment, education and training support. We also deliver outreach, mentoring, sports activities and emotional, practical and social support. A theoretical model of community engagement underpins all our work – the principle that communities are at the centre of design, development and delivery of all our projects and services. Our priorities are to tackle health inequalities, promote safer communities and improve social cohesion in the West Midlands area.
StreetGames harnesses the power of sport to create positive change in the lives of disadvantaged young people right across the UK. StreetGames' work helps to make young people and their communities healthier, safer and more successful.
