Fairtrade Footballs Donated for the

CHRIS MCMULLEN TROPHY

Sharron Hardwick donates Fairtrade footballs to Steve Rutter - Organiser of the Chris McMullen Trophy.

In addition to the schedule of pre-season games already announced, one further fixture has been added.

The Club is pleased to announce that the Chris McMullen Trophy match against Leek CSOB, will be played on Sunday 23rd July at Pointons Park, Cheddleton.

The game will kick off at 2pm and entrance to the game is free, any funds raised on the day will be donated to a suitable charity chosen by the McMullen family.

Chris “Macca” McMullen captained Leek Town in the FA Trophy Final in 1990 and is one of only four players to make more than 400 appearances for the Club,

Widely regarded in the non league football community Chris later went on to manage and Chair Leek CSOB. Since his passing in 2012 the two Clubs have played each other for the Memorial Trophy in his name - this will be the 5th time the game has been played.

Blues are the current holders and have won three of the previous four meetings.
