When do people change?

If you watch the news you see the world is broken, full of evil. So how do we change?

You can join a church, work for charity, do lots of good works, but there's no change through this.

People get caught doing wrong and say they will change, but they don't. They go back to their old ways.

Many people met Jesus but they didn't change. When they meet him again He'll say "I never knew you", because they were unchanged when meeting Him.

Some people aren't moved by God, they shut their hearts off.

Until you have an encounter with God personally, having your own faith, you won't change. No other person can save you.

People ask others to "say a prayer" for them, but they don't pray themselves. God's waiting to hear from them!

True change comes with repentance. We need a saviour and it's not me! We need Jesus, He saves us and he can change us.

Some of us have a date when we became a Christian marked on a calendar.

Some say they're a work in progress, but that's not how it works. God makes us new creations.

I loved smoking, I was on 20 a day at 15, but I knew it wasn't good, eventually I gave up. Are you holding on to things you love, things that aren’t good? We can't hold on to the old life, it's no good. We must let go.

People often use God like a genie in a bottle, calling on Him only when in need, ignoring Him otherwise.

The prodigal son went out rich and having fun with lots of friends. He ended up alone and with nothing. Only then did he come to his senses and return to his father, with a repentant heart.

When do people change, when they come to their senses.

King Nebuchadnezzar was arrogant, he refused to listen to God. Then for 7 years he lived like an animal, until he came to his senses and turned to God.

Saul was on the Damascus road with death warrants for Christians. God stopped him in his tracks and blinded him. He met Jesus and was humbled. This dramatically changed him as his spiritual and physical eyes opened. He was stopped in his hateful tracks, persecuting Christians, Jesus spoke to Him and he listened. He served God in powerful ways, transformed from persecutor to God’s faithful servant, despite facing persecution, opposition, imprisonments, beatings and eventually death.

Some people think they are so good, they don't need Jesus, but Jesus died once and for ALL. We all need Jesus. Don't miss out!

What will it take for you? When were you saved? Are you saved? If you can't answer this, you need a sure footing. You need faith in Jesus.

Will you open your eyes and heart to Jesus, and say, "as for me and my household we are saved" today?

I used to work in a huge aluminium plant, banter was standard. One man spoke of the good old days: no cars, no TV! We used to laugh and say to him: “ Remember the grass was greener and the rain wetter when you were young?” “Oh yes!” He replied!

God cannot do a new thing in your life if you chose to be rooted in your past! My great Aunt, when things changed to decimalisation, for 20 years she quoted the old money prices. It’s pointless. Things move on.

If someone has really hurt you, forgive them and move on. People’s lives are destroyed by un-forgiveness, God forgives us as we forgive.

God brings life to the dead places. The Pharisees couldn’t move on, stuck in the Law, telling Jesus he shouldn’t be healing people on the Sabbath, why not? Move on!

Jesus says to us all: “Follow me!”

Some years ago I had bad news about a relative, I was so upset for days, I heard God’s Voice say: “ Why are you mourning, no one has died?!” He was right, they are still alive years later.

God does not feed His children stale bread, His Gospel is fresh everyday. See the blessings in the hardships, focus on Jesus.

Jesus said “Follow me” 21 times, you can chose to remain or you can walk with God.

The best place to remain is under the shadow of God’s wings, under His blessings, guidance, love, healing and forgiveness, or we can chose to remain in our past.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Not on the past or the problem.

To remember is one thing, but dwelling is another. Remember the good things, the times when God has blessed and saved you, don’t dwell on the misery and hurt.

What does God ask his people to remember? His promises His faithfulness, His power!

Joshua 3 & 4 shares of how God made a way through the river Jordan so the arc of the covenant and God’s people could cross through the river on dry land. As a reminder, God instructed that 12 stones be collected from the dry path He crated through the Jordan as a sign and to remind them that:

“The flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”

Remember the Lord your God is able to sustain you, and He can provide all you need.

Philippians 4:8 NIV says “[8] Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

We have a cross, an empty grave and God’s Spirit to remember, don’t focus on the negative and quench this. God doesn’t want us to focus on old memories. Raise an alter in your heart, you are cleansed, you have a fresh start. God is with you.

When Jesus was on the cross the thief beside him didn’t look back, he acknowledged he deserved the punishment, but Jesus didn’t. He asked Jesus to remember him, Jesus promised he’d be with Him in “Paradise”

We don’t have time to dwell on the past, the things of old didn’t save you, God is doing a new thing. Declutter your mind, even your home. Let God do something new in you today.

Have you ever been fast asleep and your phone rings? Your heart rate doubles, you think "what's wrong?!" It could be a scam call, but we think the worst.

If you receive bad news is God your first call? If you don't call out, how can He hear you?

Seek first the Kingdom of God. Have faith, honesty, sincerity, cry out; be still and know He is God.

The battle belongs to the Lord, but we aren't dormant, we put on God's armour and take steps of faith.

Clean up your life, get rid of obstacles. When you go home act as if it's the first time. Remove anything that comes between you and God.

One friend in Ireland used to go and pray in houses, he could sense evil. A lady invited him to pray, but she hid things away. He sensed an evil presence and opened a cupboard, all the statues she was worshipping were in there! She had a choice, let them go, follow God, and be free, or stay bound up.

We walk in God's way or battle against Him. Stick with God, don't wander off the path. A lot of what we're exposed to isn't always right with God, judge things by God's standards.

I used to watch and read horror films and books. I started to have vivid dreams, to the point when I was dreaming I was doing the evil, so vividly I thought it was real. I got rid of it all! The dreams stopped.

I worked with a lovely young man, but someone roped him into the occult. He changed, all he did was blaspheme every other word. Outside influences aren't always good, beware!

The Lord is with you while you are with Him. We are God's children, no longer slaves to fear. Seeking the Kingdom of God isn't a one off event, it's s ongoing.

Shut off the world, trust God, He'll provide. When you're surrounded, outnumbered, facing fear or troubles, seek God. Write it out, place it before the Lord.

Elisha was surrounded by entire army, he said “Don’t be afraid...Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha." (2 King's 6: 16-17) Elisha cried out, God answered and rescued them.

This is how God is always working. Jesus has already over powered the works of the enemy. Stop worrying and stressing over things, put them in Jesus’s hands, trust in the power of His name today.

How many of you smoked or drank under the legal age? What about doing over 20mph in the 20 zone!? ...you're a law breaker!

If you you're done something that gives you a guilty conscience, you're going against God.

You can wipe your search history clean on your devices, but it can be recovered, you can't clean your conscience!

Stop fighting God, confess it, say sorry and stop it, He knows all things. If you live in God's Will you'll have peace. God says "Be still and know I Am God."

In the New Testament The Word is the will of God, or covenant.

If your peace is disturbed then look what's coming in, you can't be still if you're battling. We all make mistakes, but will you learn from them? You need to go in a different direction.

David saw a beautiful woman from a window, he had an affair and got her pregnant. To cover the affair David arranges for her husband to be killed. He thought he got away with it, but God knows everything, and David eventually confessed.

People lie! We may try to clear our history but we can't ever be good enough on our own.

Jesus was bruised and whipped so we can be healed and forgiven, set free.

If you don't have peace, what is disturbing you?

Hold on to Jesus’s peace.

We try, we wander, we mess up. There's a difference between us doing things in our strength and in God's Will, by God's Spirit.

We can try damage limitation, denial, "I didn't do it", or go on a guilt trip, this changes nothing.

Turn to God and say you're fed up of walking in your own strength, and failing, you just want to walk with God, in His strength.

Religion won't get us there, there's one way: Jesus.

Jesus is offering you life for eternity!

Every action has a reaction, think about the consequences. David realised his mistake and said sorry, his mistake still followed him, all of his life he faced constant war, humiliation and shame, but God also said He’d be with him.

God will forgive EVERYONE, who turns to Him. There's no past record, under Christ we live under grace.

Our salvation is never earned it's a free gift! It cost God His Son.

Be still, stop fighting, stop kicking back, be honest, pour yourself out in front of God.

Through Jesus we are blessed, through sin we are cursed, but Jesus is the answer, The Way, The Truth and The Life. Be still, stop fighting.

We can rant and shout to God but not hear a word back. In our stillness and silence God speaks.

By God' grace you've been saved by faith. You're blessed, learn to accept it and be thankful, be still, be blessed, leave the past behind for a new life in Jesus name today.

Sometimes you've got to fight. When you see injustice, face problems, you’ve got to fight. We don't fight flesh and blood but against spiritual beings.

When you get worn out, at the end of yourself, then God will fight for you.

If you have all you need, do you thank God; if not, ask God.

Get out of God's way, stop telling God how and when to do things. You can rebel, deny and fight againt God, you won't win, but have a harder life.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Rebellion againt God is as the sin of witchcraft. Don't put God to the test. Trust God.

I didn't understand God's Word when I read it years ago, but it's by God's Spirit we see and understand. We receive the Holy Spirit but do you burn with it!? Ask God to do something amazing in your life today. He wants to do more than you ask.

Jews go to the wailing wall and put prayers into the gaps. They say it's because the presence of God is strong in certain places.

The presence of God is here, with us. He knows your hearts desires.

Genuinely seek God with an open heart, don’t put on a fake coat of religion. God wants us to speak from the heart. Our names are on God's Palms, believer’s names are in The Book Of Life.

Doubt your doubts, face your fear. Boldly approach God's throne, be filled with God's Spirit and evil will flee!

The God of miracles is with you, so why do we worry? We are God's children, the enemy has no power, angels protect us.

We are loved, have been purchased, protected.

You're a child of the God of the universe, live like it! Take authority in Jesus’s name and you'll be who God truly wants you to be today.

Between the last chapter of Old Testament and First word of the New Testament God stayed quiet for 400 years!

​

Sometimes a prophetic word is given but you need to wait. God's ways aren't our ways, His thought's are higher. If we pray don't tell God what to do. God's ways are different to what we might expect.

God does nothing without telling His prophets first.

In 2019 I walked out of a shop and saw a sign about tarot cards and fortune telling. I prayed that shop would shut. I started to hear voices whispering, but I didn't know where from. I prayed and asked God if it was Him speaking then I heard clearly and loudly:" I will shake the nations" not once, but 3 times!

Jackie didn't hear, just me. Jackie looked up the words and they appear in the Bible: Haggi 2:7.

God's Spirit fell on me like a weight, this moved me to tears for a good few hours. Just after this Covid-19 happened and all the countries were affected!

Some say the days of the prophets are over. Far from it. Men and women prophecy. Corinthians 13:1 says we should pursue love and desire Spiritual gifts, especially prophecy. A profits job is to: Jerimiah 1:10: to hear and speak what God says, but also to build, to root out or to plant, to pull down, destroy or build.

If you watch YouTube you see false prophets making it up as they go along. People say what others want to hear, they turn away from the truth. I won't pretend all is OK when it's not.

We are called out to be different. Do you talk to God? He loves it when you speak with Him. When anxiety and pressure builds up, can you turn to God? Psalm 91 says to call on God, He will answer.

I recently went on YouTube shorts in my car listing to people talking about Christianity and Islam. It usually links to Bluetooth and automatically plays through the car stereo but this time just words came across the screen: "Are you practicing discernment?" These words remained despite me switching YouTube off. God speaks to us in many ways, but can you tell good from evil?

In your hopes and fears, listen to and speak to God, wait for Him to answer. I don't like heights, if I have to climb I pray! As you face your fears, pray, trust and hope in God's goodness.

Jesus said "My sheep hear my voice" have you ever heard your name called, but no one is there? We hear so many voices: the world, evil spirits, good or bad angels, God, your own thoughts...we need to discern where these are from. We are dealing with a spiritual world. If someone prophecies but it seems wrong, where's it from? One lady we knew practiced fortune telling and Ouija boards. The glass would move and then evil started to come through. She tried to break the glass to get rid of the spirit, but it wouldn't smash, she threw it on the fire and it eventually smashed. That night she went to bed but woke up crippled with arthritis! She invited evil in.

Learn to discern. Don't read horror scopes, listen to fortune tellers use tarot cards. My sister went to a fortune teller and she predicted things that came true, this wasn’t from God. Keep away from these things.

False prophets go against what God says, God allows this, it's a person's choice. We need to subject our minds to what Jesus would do.

God doesn't want opinions, just Truth.

Once I was working on machinery in a factory, I realised everyone had gone! All the workers were in the office watching a pornographic film, they said: “keep away it's not for you”, it wasn't!

We are safe in God and evil cannot touch us. Jesus takes us above the World, His Truth can set us free today!

Ecclesiastes 3 reads: “There's a time for everything.”

​

When I was born the snow was 15ft deep, level with the bedroom window! Neither my mother or father received a guarantee. When you buy a car you get a guarantee, not that it covers everything, however, and it expires!

Psalm 90:10 says the days of our life is 70 years on average. This is life: we live, we die, we are judged. There's no reincarnation, but there is eternal life.

We will all stand in front of Jesus on His throne. Are you happy to meet God?

My salvation is in place.

For everything there's a season. We all know there’s more than this world can offer. Most humans believe life goes on after death.

Many people during a car crash or accident have given accounts of leaving their bodies. One man fell into the river, he was dead for 7 minutes until he was revived. Afterwards he gave an account of what he saw, when dead!

1 Thessalonians 5:23, this church were concerned for those who'd already died. Paul said all dead believers will be raised and be with God. We aren't just a flesh body, we are soul and spirit.

Each person will face the Lord. Those who believe in Jesus will receive crowns. Those who reject Jesus it's another, horrible, story, eternity without Him.

Our lives are not a mistake. Listen to God, let Him lead your steps.

The thief was on the cross next to Jesus. There seemed no hope! Yet Jesus said: "Today you'll be with me, in paradise." He believed in Jesus, if we believe we can be saved too.

The question that comes to all of us is: have you accepted Jesus?

If you're a believer reset your faith, get back in line with God. Don't go ahead of God. God is our guide, don't rush and do things without Him. Go with God.

Acceptance of faith in Jesus, this is something only you can do. Give your bodies over as a living sacrifice on God's alter, ask God to guide your steps.

Where is our hope? In Jesus! Nothing on this earth lasts, Jesus words last forever. You know there's more to life than this world, possessions fail, God's promise is an everlasting guarantee.

Have you got your eternity sorted? If not turn to God today.

Take heed no one deceives you.

I watched a man on TV yesterday with a white robe, red sash and long hair claiming he is Jesus. Fake, all they are after is money!

​

If you got married in a church you say...to have and to hold...to death do us part. I always feels there's one promise missing..."I'll forgive you in all things"

Forgiveness is wonderful, until you need to do it!

 

Jesus faced the ultimate betrayal. Amidst abuse, pain and humiliation, on the cross Jesus said: "Forgive them father for they know not what they do"

Forgiveness is a choice, love covers a multitude of sins. Forgiveness isn't a feeling it's an active choice. You forgive for yourself, if you don't forgive then you carry it around. If we are forgiven by God we must forgive others. You can't have salvation without forgiveness.

 

Evil is becoming more rampant and forgiveness is being forgotten. Why?

Many are "offended" Wearing a cross necklace, saying the Lords Prayer is banned in places. A man was offended by the name of the pub, and was taking legal action!

False prophets are rife, just look on YouTube. There's no faith or repentance just thrill seekers. They are trying to deceive God's elect, us believers. Just because someone is healed that doesn't mean it's God.

 

Some act in the name of false gods, the lawless one, Satan, is working through false prophets. These people are bringing in the Anti Christ.

People may have power, but beware where it comes from. By their fruits you'll know them, there should be Truth.

 

I once asked a medium how she did what she did. She said she grabs an object and "gets filled", she was calm one minute and then ranted and raved, saying what I believed wasn't true.

 

Test the spirits and hold on to what's good. Be wary of who puts their hands on you or prays for you. 2 Thesalonials states those who reject Truth, God is putting a strong dillusion on them.

 

Seek God's Truth, belive it, hold on to it. Remain in God and He'll supply all you need in Jesus. Don't be deceived, keep moving forward with God today.
